Ichiro Sumishiba (純柴 一郎Sumishiba Ichirō) is one of Reiji's rivals who works for RI-ON. Struggling to fulfill his family's high expectations, he strives to defeat Hikaru Himuro and take his place as the number one Dragon Drive player in the world.
Appearance[]
Ichiro has black hair that seems to curl out. He wears glasses with rectangular frames, a red shirt with green jacket, and light green cargo pants. He also appears to have a small mole below the corner of his left eye.

Anime/Manga Season 1[]
One of Reiji's rivals who works for RI-ON. Struggling to fulfill his family's high expectations, he strives to defeat Hikaru and take his place as the number one Dragon Drive player in the world. He developed a very close relationship with Agent L, who encouraged him to be number one at Dragon Drive. He is later shown fighting alongside Kohei Toki to get into the game. He then joins forces with Reiji and reveals he only fought with Kohei to get Meguru (L's younger sister) back to the real world. He develops a deep friendship with the other players and helps to fight Shinryu and is able to control a series of different dragons. His main one is Hayate Slash.
Manga Season 2[]
Ichiro was called by Meguru to return to Rikyu and help defend the two worlds. No longer as arrogant as in his younger days, he is a thoughtful character who cares about his friends. He also appears to have a friendly relationship with Maiko, and gives her encouragement.
